Bills and Resolutions
You can view Bills and Resolutions from the 109th Congress to the present. The Browse display defaults to the current Congress.
Popular name – Browse by popular name (or short title) when that is more convenient than using a bill number or an official title. The list contains the popular names for bills and resolutions for the selected collection only.
Sponsor – Browse by sponsor when you have the sponsor's name or want to find what bills and resolutions have been introduced by a specific member of Congress.
Congress – Browse by Congress if you want to view a bill or resolution from a prior Congress. When you click the link for a bill type, the display defaults to bill number order.
Stage(s) – In a list of bills or resolutions, the Stage heading indicates the progress of the bill or resolution through the legislative process, with links to the text for each stage. See Bills and Resolutions for definitions or abbreviations.
Modifying the display – The default display is by Bill Number. You may use the drop-down menus to change to Official Title (alphabetical) order, to view the results in ascending or descending order, or to choose the number of records per page.
