Federal Register

The Federal Register is the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal Agencies and Organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents. You can Browse the Federal Register by Issue Date, Document Type or Action Date.

1.  Browse by Issue Date - select the desired date and scan through the list of documents.  Modify the display by filtering for document type or altering the date range.

2.  Browse by Document Type - restrict the documents displayed to a desired type, such Proposed Rules or Presidential Documents, and specifying a date range.

3.  Action Date - sort by effective date, hearing date, meeting date or comment date.

4.  Browse by Agency - view a list of agencies, each of which is a link to all documents issued by that agency, along with links to all documents of a specific type issued by each agency.

5.  Choose a display format option - click a Text, PDF or Impact link which appears above a displayed document.

6.  Jump to the Next Document or Previous Document - use the Next Document or Previous Document buttons.  NOTE:  Hold the cursor over a button to display information about the document to which the button links.
