United States Code

The United States Code is comprised of fifty-one Titles which organize the permanent laws of the United States.  You can select any Title and browse its complete set of headings.

  1. Drill down – Recognizing appropriate material is often easier than creating searches to find it.  This is especially true for hierarchical data sets with repetitive language like the US Code.  Drilling down through the levels of Title, Chapter, Sub-Chapter, Section, and so on, is easy.  Select from the lists as you work your way down.

  2. Preview information about Next and Previous Document – Hold the cursor over a button to display information about the document to which the button links. us_code_prev_doc.png

  3. Keep your place with the header bar – The header bar provides detailed information on the document that you are viewing.  This is especially helpful within long documents.
