Headings for US Code documents display:
the citation for a Code section
the complete hierarchy within the section
links to subsections of that hierarchy
links to previous and next documents, and
an indication of how current the information is.
2. Hyperlinks take you to sections referenced in the text.
3. Formatting clarifies the structure of a section by means of paragraphs and indentations.
4. Editorial Notes record the history of a section and help the reader interpret that history. Notes include credit, historical and revision notes, Senate and House reports, references in text, amendment notes, codification, change of name, effective date notes and references to other sections.
